How do I get started?
|

Follow these steps:
Visit Homepage of WitScale.
On right hand side, in the 'New Members
Section', click on 'Sign up' for quick sign
up.
Enter necessary information and click on
'submit' button. After successful signup, you
may log on to your account.
You will be presented a customized 'My
Witscale' menu after you log on. The customized
menu is also on the right hand side navigation
bar.
Now You can take a 'Sample Test' or request
any other test by clicking on the 'Test
Center'.
After you request a test, you will be
presented with instructions about the exam and
also the time for the exam.
Remember, you can take as many certification
exams as you wish and they are all free.

I forgot my login information
(user id and/or password). What should I
do?

Follow these steps:
On WitScale's member login page,You will see
'Forgot login info?' under member's login box.
After clicking the link, you will be asked to
enter your information. After entering the
appropriate information, the system will find
your login ID and password and will send it to
your e-mail account. If you're still having
trouble, you may contact us at

I have signed up but can not
login. why?
|
|
At the time of sign up, you will be informed
whether or not you have successfully signed in.
If the signup was successful, you may
immediately login with your login
information.
If your sign up was not successful, you will
need to try again with sign up. Remember that
your email address is used as login id at
witscale. If you are already signed up with a
email address, you cannot again sign up with
the same address. If you still have problem
while signing up, please
contact us.

I was disconnected while taking
the exam. Can I resume the exam?
|
|
No, you can not resume the exam if your
internet connection is lost. This is because
your session is alive only for certain period
if inactive. After some time it will expire. So
you cannot continue to take the same exam. you
will need to start all over again.

How much it costs to take an
exam?
|
|
$0! Yes, the exams are absolutely free! You
only need to sign up to take these exams.

How do I see the answers to the
questions of my exam?
|
|
Once you finish the exam, you will be presented
with the analysis for your exam. With each
question marked either correct or
incorrect.
When you click on the question's no, you will
be presented the answer for the question along
with the explanation.

What are the rules for tests?
|
|
Witscale exams are designed for assessing the
conceptual knowledge. So you can refer to
technical materials while taking the exam. Time
to complete the exam depends on no of questions
per exam. Each question is given on an average
3 minutes to answer. But you may take more time
for difficult questions and less time for
simple ones. You can mark difficult questions
and try them later (if the time permits).

Time to complete the exam depends on no of
questions per exam. Each question is given on
an average 3 minutes to answer. So if you
select to take 30 questions test. You will get
maximum 90 minutes to finish the exam.

How often can I attempt a
test?
|

There is no limit. You can attempt till you
succeed or you are satisfied with your
progress. Each time the test is prepared by
randomly selecting questions and presented in
random order.

What is the minimum browser
requirement for this site?
|
|
Witscale has been redesigned to make most of
the content as XHTML 1.0 compliant. Therefore,
the site should be best visible in all the
browsers that go by standards. No particular
browser/platform is favored over other as far
as the site design is concerned.
The site has been tested with Mozilla 1.0
/Netscape 6.x as well as IE 5.5. Top

What technology has been used
in building the test engine?

The test engine for Witscale has been developed
using Java and XML technology. Mysql database
is used for persistency. Apache xalan is used
as XSLT processor.
